MY RETREAT

A seven day exploration of the self through transformational practices including embodied yoga, somatic experiments, breathwork and meditation to arrive here, now. Together we will shed one layer at a time to find our way back to Satya « truth. 

 

This retreat is an invitation to return to our body, breath and the present moment.

Mantra, Pranayama & Spacious Vinyasa Flow + Journaling (90-120min) – This class is an opportunity to cultivate and embody what needs to be moved, and give presence to what is rising and dissolving. We also work on creating space – aka flexibility.

Intuitive Yin Flow – A slow and sweet practice to dive deep into our body's senses. Liquify the bones, swirl, undulate, twist, expand... Explore your own emotions in motion through every fiber of your being.

Special offerings

(intentions, meditation, kirtan, journaling, sharing) / Together we gather and create a space where there is no judgment, where vulnerability and authenticity are perceived as truly powerful and courageous qualities. A space where we can restore and connect to authentically.

 

Free yourself from fears and old patterns. Get to know yourself: introduction to Satya (truth) & Svadhyaya (self-study) from the yogic philosophy. Emotions & the body: what / how the body is signaling. Become what arises: somatic breathing + movement. Allowance: how to truly surrender and hold space for yourself (& others)

 

Heal through the body. Exploration of elements: earth, fire, water, air, space within you & what they hold (patterns and/or past experiences). Bloom: expansion of the breath, rise of the voice (mantra chanting). Healing: cultivate the practice.

Your teacher

Through her teachings, Luna guides into a deep connection between the intelligence of the body and the wisdom of the spirit, a (re)discovery of authenticity. She teaches embodied practices, meaning how to embody what is rising: the emotion, the element, the present.

WHAT YOU WILL TAKE HOME

  • Deepen self-knowledge, discover more about the yogic philosophy through a different point of view and understand how to use the body as a tool to heal.
  • New connection to the self, new relationship with the physical + subtle layers of the body.
  •  deeper layers of both the physical and mental realms, in order for us to find an authentic sadhana.
  • Find space (within and out), to care for the self, to understand the functions of the subtle body and to explore a new way of practicing Yoga.
  • Tools to (re)-create our own practice, to go into

Retreating with us

  • 6 days/nights long, from Sunday to Saturday
  • Full board in an upscale traditionally designed cottage with private balcony
  • Two yoga classes per day
  • One meditation or celebration/ceremony per day 
  • 3 abundant and delicious meals each day (by Uri, our Michelin trained chef)
  • One group dinner at Kea Retreat’s family’s taverna
  • Yoga equipment and accessories (mats, blocks, bolsters, straps, and blankets)
  • Open poolside bar and snacks
  • Complimentary tote bag for the beach
  • Pickup and drop off at ferry station

Additional Activities:

Kayaks – venture into the sea with our kayaks, double or single, to discover caves and more isolated beaches.

Snorkeling – for those looking to discover what’s lurking under the surface and meet our local fish, or do some shell diving, snorkels and goggles are available.

Illoulida – walk down to the ancient capital, Ioulida, during sunset hours to explore the beautiful architecture and small shops (clothing, ceramics, local produce).

Island boat trip – set sail around the island on a calm ocean bed to uncover hidden corners of the island that can only be experienced by boat.

Hikes – the island is full of ancient trails that cross through farmlands and forests, up greeny hills, or down to secret shores with ruins from the 12th century BC.

Kastriani monastery – drive up the windy cliffs of the northern peak of the island to the breathtakingly beautiful blue and white Greek orthodox monastery that overlooks the Aegean sea.

Winery – have a picnic between the grape leaves of Kea Retreat’s vineyard while sipping on their locally grown wine.

Arts and crafts – feel free to use the art supplies situated on the shelf and let your creativity flow.

Music and Instruments – strum away at the guitar or play the tibetan bowls to the intoxicating sounds of nature.

Relax – unwind by picking a book off of the shelf and laying down on one of the outdoor beanbags, hammocks, or couches, or take a few more steps down to the beach and soak up some sun.

TEACHER’S NOTE

 

Luna creates a safe and magical space that allows for transformative experiences to occur. Her Yoga practice is not just about the asanas, it is a guided dance through senses and emotions, infused with alot of wisdom. She exuberates her deep love for Yoga, which is contagious.
