Fluid Body

MY RETREAT

Fluid Body will be a retreat exploring our inner fluidity, our capacity to soften and move more openly in our lives through embodiment, yoga, meditation, and contemplative practices as well as bodywork, ritual and ceremony. Both the earth and our bodies are made up of 70% water. Water is where all life began; water cleanses us and purifies us; water is our emotions, our memories and dreams; water invites us to meet life with more ease, freedom and flow, returning to a more natural way of living on earth. During our time together she will be our guide and teacher to finding more embodied freedom and ease in our lives.

Embodiment, Yoga, Meditation, Journaling, Contemplative practices.

Bodywork/touch workshops, water rituals and ceremonies, tea ceremonies, restorative yoga, and creative practices.

Special offerings

Cha Dao is an ancient practice of drinking tea in ritual and presence, becoming a moving meditation practice. This simple yet profound experience allows us to pacify the mind, find inner stillness and harmony, helping us to return to a more embodied and quiet way of being.

This powerful and soothing ritual will combine the medicine of plants and the sacredness of water and will involve washing and cleansing parts of our bodies to release stuck energy and to restore and regenerate our body, minds and spirits. Since the beginning of time people from all over the world have used water to mark rites of passage, purify oneself and wash away what no longer serves us. Moreover, each herb and flower offers us their unique and precious medicine.

In this restorative, soothing and gentle practice we will use the magic of touch and partner work to regulate our nervous systems, create deep relaxation, open the fluid channels in our bodies and restore a profound sense of open awareness.

This practice will invite you to find more freedom in your movement through different dance explorations. The theme will be around water and fluidity and we will explore what it means to let our bodies fully express themselves in space.

because of the stunning location in such proximity to the waters we will bring our movement practice to the waters themselves, exploring how to move in her, dance with her, remember our fluid bodies by immersing ourselves directly in the sea and return to a more open presence in our lives.

TEACHER’S NOTE

This will be a unique opportunity to slow down, listen more deeply, connect inside and learn from the wisdom of the elements, water in particular. To be like water means remembering to flow with more ease in our lives, it means to apply less resistance and be more porous to life’s desire. Water is soft, all embracing and powerful at the same time.

EXTRA PRIVATE SERVICES:

To be more fluid in our bodies and in our spirits means to be less rigid and ultimately learn how to enjoy life better and dance in harmony with it.
